Homecoming

Tomorrow Kevin will be arriving home from Florida. He has been away for about 8 weeks. He drove the boys to Texas for work and then flew to Florida to help Grandma & Grandpa. Grandpa has been feeling a little better and thinks he can still do everything he's always done. The biggest issue is driving. He has been very upset with Kevin since Kevin told him not to drive one evening. Everyone is in agreement that he shouldn't be driving, but he doesn't seem to understand why. I think he is being very unkind to Kevin. He has been shutting Kevin out for several days now since the driving incident. I can understand why he would be upset about not being allowed to drive, but we are only looking out for everyones best interest. It's not like he would be stuck at home. If he wanted to go anywhere at anytime he would be able to find someone to drive him. He just doesn't want to give up his independence. I just feel really bad for Kevin. He cares so much about him & has done a lot to try and make his last years here better. Even though he understands, his feelings have been really hurt. It's really sad that Grandpa can't see what he is doing.
