On Friday night I told Grandpa we would go to his favorite pizza joint to see his favorite waitresses. He was looking forward to it all day. When we got there, the place was closed. I think they went on vacation. We went down the road to a new place and when we entered, it was so hot and we found out they don't accept debit or credit cards. We got back in the car and continued on. Next stop was a place called Tony's. Grandpa insisted it was too expensive. We decided to go there anyway. We should've listened to Grandpa. Not only was the place a very small dive, but yes it was outrageously expensive and not even good. Our bill for 1 small and 1 large pizz with soda came to $50.00! The only good thing was that Grandma ran into her old Dr. who recently moved away. He was so nice to her and spent a long time talking with her. She was really happy to see him. After pizza, we headed back home.
On Saturday, Grandma & I decided to go into Okeechobee to the flea market. We had a good time looking around. Next month there will be more to see there as the Snowbirds will be arriving back home by then. Next was our usual stop at Wal-Mart & then Dairy queen for our treat for the ride home.
I decided to cook Grandpa a tenderloin steak for dinner. We had it with sweet potatoes & corn. I used Grandma's new Rocket Grill. It is a really cool appliance that cooked the steaks in a very short time. While we were eating dinner, Grandpa decided he was going to explore a new church today. Grandma said she would go with him. I told him he needed to be careful as his Dr. suggested that he stay away from groups of people. His immune system is almost nil. Of course he is going to do what he wants.
I think I'm going to hit the pool for a little while. I try and get a little exercise while I'm there.
Hope everyone has a great day!
