This morning came early. It seems whenever I know I have to get up early, I can't seem to sleep at night. We needed to be on the road by 6:00. The drive was smooth and clear today. We arrived around 7:30 - 8 and found that everyone else must've shown up early. The place was swamped. Normally Grandpa is in getting his transfusion by 10:00 or so. Today it was closer to noon. After he was settled in h is chair Grandma & I took off for a while. We did a little shopping at Sam's Club and stopped at a few thrift stores. On the way home Grandpa wanted to stop and pick up barbeque ribs for dinner. We got them for the U-Save store and they were pretty tasty.
Kevin & Aaron arrived around 3:00 today. They are excited to be here to see Grandma & Grandpa. They are looking forward to going fishing. First they have to fix the tires on the boat trailer. Hopefully it won't take them long to get this done.
The rest of the week is pretty open for us. Grandpa said his Grandson will be paying us a visit on Saturday. He always looks forward to that. I wish more of his family would take the time to see him. Devon is the only one who ever does. Of Course his son and other Grandson live further away. He loves it when his other Grandson visits because he has a little boy and 2 adorable little girls who love him. They live in Texas so they get here as often as they can.
Right now, Grandpa is enjoying a Western movie with Kevin & Aaron. They are so funny as they are always antagonizing each other. I'm really glad that they were able to come down to see him. I just wish Chris would've been able to come too. Maybe he'll be able to after the 1st of the year. Even if it is just for a long weekend.
Nixon seemed to make the journey just fine. He's already snuggled up to Grandma on the couch. As for me, I am exhausted after a long day on the road, and I think I'm going to turn in for the night!
